Hi! My Name is Alex

Let me start by saying, I am not a large business but a small owner operated business. I grew up in Walnut Creek. Graduated from Las Lomas High School and St Mary's College with a Business Marketing degree. For as long as I can remember I have always been drawn to animals. Throughout my childhood, my parents allowed me to get fish, guinea pigs, chickens, hamsters, and parakeets, but never a dog! In order to accommodate my innate desire to have a dog, I became a dog bather and then a dog groomer! I chose to forgo a career in Marketing to play with dogs all day. I now have three dogs: a Mini Bernedoodle named Princess Anastasia (aka Stassi) a Standard Poodle named Safira, and a Golden Retriever named Waylon!

I love being a dog groomer. Grooming is my passion! I pride myself in treating every dog as if they were a member of my very own trio! My goal is to ensure that they receive the most relaxing spa experience. Nothing brings me more joy than watching one of my grooming clients fall asleep on the grooming table. I am so excited to begin my mobile grooming journey because I will be able to provide the one on one attention all your pups deserve!

How long does the grooming process take?

We provide an individualized quote for your pup once a new client form is completed. Depending on the dog 1 to 1.5 hours. If your appointment goes above that time frame additional charges may apply

How do I prepare my dog for grooming?

Let them go potty before we arrive to prevent accidents in the van. Do not feed within an hour or so prior to the groom.

If you have a puppy, start desensitizing them to being handled by touching their paws, nails, legs, muzzle etc.

How often should I get my dog groomed?

Every dog is different. Alex will recommend a grooming schedule upon grooming your dog.

What is the wait time for an appointment?

Availability varies by neighborhood

Can I set up a recurring Appointment?

Yes, that is recommended in order to keep your pup on a regular grooming schedule.

Do you need a water hook up?

Rarely but I will ask if I running low on water and you will receive $10 off your grooming price.

On the day of my appointment, what can i expect?

When you make an appointment you are given a 1 hour to 1.5 hour appointment arrival window. When we are on our way, you will receive a text letting you know. Alex will park her van on your street where the surface has minimal up or down hill. She will set up her van for 2 minutes and then come out at greet you at your door.

Does my pup get their teeth brushed?

Yes, every pup we see gets the same base service as we are all inclusive.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a $45 deposit per pup to reserve an appointment. The deposit goes towards grooming. Must be paid within 24 hours of booking. Payment can be received through venmo @poochparadiseLLC. Nonrefundable or transferable. If the client cancels the appointment a new deposit would be required.
